FBISE 2026 change: 50% MCQs in five subjects
The Federal Board announced that Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science papers move to 50% MCQs and 50% descriptive questions. Reports say it applies to SSC-I and HSSC-I from the Second Annual Examination 2026, with all SSC-II and HSSC-II candidates from the First Annual Examination 2028. Class 9 papers have 60 MCQs at half a mark (48 at 0.75 in Maths) and Class 11 papers 80 MCQs (64 in Maths), and every short and long question comes with an OR choice. Our Class 9 and 11 Federal papers follow this pattern. Class 10 and 12 papers keep the older pattern for now.
